Interventions in Banco de España

Madrid

1986-2025

The Bank of Spain in Madrid’s Plaza de Cibeles, built in 1884, seems unchanged over time but is continually being renovated with interventions ranging from restorations that maintains its architecture to others that modify its interiors to highlight hidden and forgotten spaces to adapt them for new uses. Paredes Pedrosa’s diverse works since 1986 are continuing now with the new intervention of the Salón de Cobradores in 2025, which discovers a striking interior.
