Two Houses in Oropesa Fritz Höger Preis Special Mention
Our project Two Houses in Oropesa has been awarded with a Special Mention in the FRITZ HÖGER PREIS 2017 FOR BRICK ARCHITECTURE under the category of SANIERUNGSPROJEKT (heritage intervention).
The Fritz Höger Award for Brick Architecture, awarded for the first time in 2008, is presented every three years. This year The Initiative Bauen mit Backstein (Brick Building Initiative) is presenting the “Fritz Höger Award 2017 for Brick Architecture”, which honours special architectural achievements in brick construction. Is oriented to architects who take advantage of the architectural potential offered by brick, the traditional building material, to create modern and timeless buildings.

Ángela García Paredes (Paredes Pedrosa Arquitectos ) will be joining Rice Architecture for a lecture “Time in Space” next October 16 at 5:30pm in Farish Gallery, Anderson Hall at Rice University, Houston.
Admission is free and open to the public.

Next thursday 7th September at 8,30 pm, Ignacio G. Pedrosa (Paredes Pedrosa Arquitectos) will be lecturing in the 8th edition of the ‘OC Open City’ International Summer School of Piacenza, entitled ‘New Next Nature’. Organized by the Politecnico di Milano & Piacenza Campus.
Final exhibition of the works of the students of Paredes Pedrosa’s workshop “Aleppo Souqs: WAR Heritage vs. RAW Heritage” for WAVE 2017 Syria, “The Making of the Future”, organized by the Università IUAV di Venezia.
The magazine “Rassegna di Architettura e Urbanistica” edited by Sapienza University of Rome, in his last issue 151 “Architettura e archeologia”, curated by María Margarita Segarra, features the collaboration of Ángela García de Paredes with its text “Architectures Side by Side”.
