Valdemaqueda Town hall awarded with Premio COAM + 10
COAM +10 Prize is awarded by the Official Association of Architects of Madrid (COAM) to buildings that have best withstood the passing years since their construction, due to the quality of its architecture, its design, construction, conservation and maintenance .
The X BIAU entitled “Displacements” and curated by Ángela García de Paredes, Ignacio G. Pedrosa and Alvaro Puntoni as associate curator in Brazil, will take place next October 10, 11 and 12 in São Paulo. In this edition, 1.111 works have been submitted showing the imprint of people in cities and in the Ibero-American territory.

Special Mention at the Piranesi Prix de Rome 2016 XIV
Paredes Pedrosa in collaboration with DIDA – Dipartimento di Architettura della UNIFI(Prof. Fabio Fabrizzi) have been awarded with a Special Mention at the Piranesi Prix de Rome 2016 XIV edition, competition for via dei Fori Imperiali in Rome.
Public tone, tectonic color and contextual tuning turn the oeuvre of Ángela García de Paredes and Ignacio García Pedrosa into one of the most rigorous and personal in the Spanish contemporary panorama. AV Monographs covers the career of the Madrid-based architects, spanning over twenty-five years through a selection of fifteen works like the Valdemaqueda Town Hall, the Archaeological Museum of Almería, La Olmeda Roman Villa in Palencia, the Ceuta Public Library, the Auditorium of Lugo and the houses for two brothers in the wall of the Oropesa Castle. The issue opens with an essay by Richard Ingersoll and a conversation between the architects and Francesco Dal Co, and closes with two codas by Luis Fernández-Galiano.
